But before that, please make sure you have already make a backup of the important files, especially those sit in your C drive, since the system restore will clean up your C drive entirely. Thus you cannot reset Acer Aspire laptop back to factory settings like above method.

I would like to set up my laptop the way my desktop is. Some customized Windows installation disc might cause some problem during installation. I am guessing he cleared my recovery partition, but it looks like there is alot of data on the drives. However, there is no way for you to get another copy of Windows Vista from them; they only provide the recovery disk.

By using the eRecovery, I am not too sure if you can create a new partition, but not to worry, there are a lot of free software out there that can be used to create a new partition once your Windows is in order, for example Acronis Disk Director.

I wish to know that after running the e-recovery management will the machine ask me for any license key relating to the O. As I mentioned, try the Alt+F10 combination for a few more times holding Alt, then keep pressing F10 , it might just work. And then will it restore to Factory settings? In the shop they told me this is normal acer. Here we take administrator account password reset for example.
